After 3-4 years the assistant now applies for a license. One goes through various

channels to get the license. In a matter of 3-6 months the assistant gets a driving
license. Though he gets a license his skills are not fully tested as he is new to the trade.

Also the so called “Motor Malik”, wants new members since they also expand their
capacity as per the requirements of OEM’s.

Concern need to be addressed by Government to setting out basic criteria to become or
qualify for getting a Heavy Commercial Vehicle License. This still is a grey area needs to

be addressed.

Insurance Companies who do the transit insurance of the consignments work closely with

OEM’s to impart training to the drivers on safety regulations.
